Payments at the 2026 edition

Cashless

To ensure a smoother, faster experience, the 2 August 2026 edition ran on a fully cashless payment system. All purchases inside the event were made with a rechargeable digital credit, usable at bars, food points and dedicated areas. Any unused credit could be refunded after the event, until 17 August 2026 (the window is now closed). The system was powered by Slesh, our official cashless partner.

How it worked

Three steps

Top-up

You downloaded the Slesh app and loaded credit in advance with your card — from home, in handy amounts (€10 to €150). At the venue you got an NFC wristband linked to your account. Anyone who preferred not to use the app topped up at the on-site desks.

Payment

At the entrance, once your ticket was validated, you got your NFC wristband: in the app, Associate wristband and Transfer credits were the steps that loaded it. From there a tap at any bar or stand paid in seconds — it worked even offline, with no signal needed. Balance and further top-ups stayed one tap away in the app.

Refund

The window to request a refund of unspent credit closed on 17 August 2026 and refunds can no longer be requested in the app. For exceptional cases, write to festival@atarashi.fr.

Good to know

Cashless FAQ

When could you top up?

In advance from the Slesh app, from the moment top-ups opened, and at any time during the event — either online in the app or at the on-site desks (cash or card).

Could you top up in cash, without the app?

Yes. At the on-site desks you could top up with cash or card — no app and no internet needed, the system worked anyway.

Did you have to pay with the wristband?

Yes — all payments inside the festival were made by tapping your NFC wristband. Cash and cards weren't accepted at the bars and stands.

Could you check your balance and spending?

Anytime in the Slesh app, which showed your balance and every transaction. On site you could also ask at any cashless desk or the info point.

What happened if you lost your wristband?

Credit was tied to your account in the Slesh app, not just the wristband, so it stayed safe. The info point and the cashless desks on site sorted it out.

Do I need to keep the wristband after the festival?

No, you no longer need to keep it: the window to request a refund of unspent credit closed on 17 August 2026.

Can I still get my refund?

No. The window to request a refund of unspent credit closed on 17 August 2026 and refunds can no longer be requested in the app. For exceptional cases, write to festival@atarashi.fr.

Were there any fees?

Topping up and paying were free. The refund carried a €0.50 processing fee and a €1 minimum, but the window to request it closed on 17 August 2026.

Need help?

For anything still open on your 2026 wallet, write to support@slesh.it or to festival@atarashi.fr. During the event, the info point and the cashless desks were there to help on site.
