What is ATARASHI Festival?
ATARASHI Goes to Sicily is an international music festival set against the stunning backdrop of the Strait of Messina. The event brings together world-class electronic music, premium food and beverage, and a curated guest experience — designed to deliver something far beyond a standard night out. It takes place at Arena Capo Peloro, on the northern tip of Sicily, where two seas meet.
When and where does it take place?
Date — Sunday 2 August 2026.
Venue — Arena Capo Peloro (formerly Sea Flight), Torre Faro, 98164 Messina (ME), Sicily — right on the shores of the Strait that separates the island from the mainland.
Times — doors open at 16:00, the festival runs until 00:30.
What kind of music will be played?
ATARASHI Goes to Sicily is a tech house event. The lineup for this edition features Seth Troxler b2b Marco Carola, Max Dean, Matteo Diop vs II Faces and Marco Ursino. Set times are listed in the Timetable section; artist bios are on the Lineup page.
What time does the festival open and close?
Doors open at 16:00. The festival runs until 00:30. We recommend arriving early — the first act starts as soon as doors open and the venue reaches its best atmosphere well before midnight.
Is this an outdoor or indoor event?
ATARASHI Goes to Sicily is an outdoor festival held along the waterfront at Torre Faro. Come prepared for a warm August evening in Sicily — it rarely disappoints.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
ATARASHI is strictly an 18+ event. A valid photo ID is required at entry. No exceptions will be made at the door — please carry your ID with you at all times.
Is this the first edition of ATARASHI?
ATARASHI Goes to Sicily is the debut edition of the festival in Sicily. It is part of a broader international project rooted in music, culture and exceptional experiences.
How many attendees are expected?
ATARASHI Goes to Sicily was a capacity-controlled event: the 2 August 2026 edition welcomed 7,000 people. Tickets are limited and, once they sell out, no further tickets are released.
Is this a single-day event or a whole weekend?
The main event is on Sunday 2 August at Arena Capo Peloro. Around it there is a full ATARASHI weekend:
- Friday 31 July — La Punta Beach Club, Messina, and a private dinner at Bellavista Restaurant
- Saturday 1 August — Horizon Beach Club, Milazzo, with the Official Sunset Pre-Party
- Sunday 2 August — ATARASHI Goes to Sicily · Arena Capo Peloro, followed by the Official Afterparty
The full programme is on the Festival page. The satellite events require separate access from the festival ticket.
Tickets
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets for the 2026 edition were sold exclusively through TicketSMS: the event took place on 2 August 2026 and sales are closed. There are no authorised third-party resellers, and that holds for 2027 too: any ticket bought outside the official channels may be refused at entry, with no refund. 2027 sales are not open yet — everyone on the priority list hears 48 hours before it goes public.
What ticket categories are available?
The 2026 edition had three ticket categories:
- General Admission — access to all main areas of the festival
- VIP — exclusive access to the VIP area, premium bar service, dedicated entry lane and additional benefits
- Backstage — exclusive backstage access, sold separately
The 2027 categories will be announced together with the date.
Can I buy tickets at the door on the day?
On 2 August 2026 a limited number of tickets was available at the door, but availability was not guaranteed: tickets were limited and the event could sell out beforehand. How this will work in 2027 will be announced together with the date, and everyone on the priority list gets it 48 hours earlier.
Is my ticket transferable?
No. The 2026 tickets were strictly non-transferable and linked to the purchaser's TicketSMS account: resale was not permitted, and entry was refused to anyone presenting a ticket that had been resold or transferred. It is a rule we expect to keep for 2027.
Can I buy a ticket as a gift for someone else?
No. The 2026 tickets were non-transferable and stayed linked to the purchaser's TicketSMS account: they could not be gifted, transferred, or registered to a different person. Each guest had to purchase their own ticket directly.
What do I do if I lose my ticket confirmation?
Your ticket is still stored in your TicketSMS account, now the event is over too. For access problems or administrative questions about a 2026 purchase, the place to go is TicketSMS customer support.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No. The digital ticket in the TicketSMS app or the confirmation email was all you needed. At entry all it took was a charged battery and screen brightness up so the QR code could be scanned.
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets for the 2026 edition were non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation of the festival. The edition went ahead as planned on 2 August 2026, so the cancellation clause never applied.
Entry & wristbands
What did you need to bring to get in?
Three things were needed:
- Your ticket QR code (on your phone or printed)
- A valid photo ID (national ID card, passport or driving licence)
- Your Slesh account active and ready for cashless payments
What forms of ID were accepted?
Any government-issued photo ID was accepted: national identity card, passport, or driving licence. Digital copies were not accepted. A physical document was required, or a certified digital ID where legally applicable.
How did wristband entry work?
Upon arrival, our entry team scanned your ticket QR code, verified your ID, and fitted you with an ATARASHI wristband. The wristband stayed on for the duration of the event — it was your proof of entry and had to be shown whenever required.
Could you re-enter the festival after leaving?
No. Re-entry was not permitted. Once you left the festival, your wristband was deactivated and you could not come back in.
Was there a fast-track entry option?
Yes. VIP and Backstage ticket holders had access to a dedicated priority entry lane with no general queue.
Was there a last-entry cut-off?
No, there was no fixed last-entry cut-off time. The advice given to the audience was to arrive within the first hour of doors opening, so as not to miss any of the lineup.
The venue
Where exactly is the festival?
ATARASHI Goes to Sicily takes place at Arena Capo Peloro (formerly Sea Flight), Torre Faro, 98164 Messina (ME). Torre Faro is located at the northernmost tip of Sicily, right on the Strait of Messina — one of the most scenic locations in the Mediterranean. Full directions on the Getting there page.
Is there a festival map?
Yes. The festival map is available on our official Instagram @atarashi.festival. It includes the stage, food areas, bars, VIP zones, medical points, exits and parking areas.
What facilities are available on-site?
The festival is fully equipped with:
Timetable
What is the lineup and what time does each artist play?
These are the confirmed set times for 2 August:
- 16:00 – 17:30 — Marco Ursino
- 17:30 – 19:30 — Matteo Diop vs II Faces
- 19:30 – 22:00 — Seth Troxler b2b Marco Carola
- 22:00 – 00:30 — Max Dean · closing set
Artist bios are on the Lineup page.
Where can I find the set times on the day?
Set times are published on this website and on our official Instagram @atarashi.festival. A physical timetable board is also displayed at the venue entrance. Join our WhatsApp community for real-time updates on the day.
Can set times change?
Published set times are the definitive schedule. In the rare event of a last-minute change, we will communicate immediately via Instagram and our WhatsApp community. We recommend joining the ATARASHI WhatsApp community before event day so you receive any updates in real time.
How many stages are there?
One stage only. Every artist, every set — a single shared experience. No clashes, no choices to make.
What happens if an artist cancels?
In the rare event of a replacement, ATARASHI will announce the change immediately through its official channels. Lineup changes do not entitle you to a refund, unless the entire event is cancelled.
Will the event be live streamed?
No, there is no live stream for this edition. ATARASHI Goes to Sicily is designed as an exclusive, in-person experience.
Cashless payments · Slesh
What is Slesh?
Slesh is the official cashless payment platform for ATARASHI Goes to Sicily. At the 2026 edition, all purchases inside the festival — drinks, food, merchandise — were made through Slesh, as were parking passes for the official parking areas. Event tickets, however, were sold separately through TicketSMS. Full details on the Cashless page.
How was a Slesh account set up?
You downloaded the Slesh app, created your account and linked a payment method before arriving at the festival. Doing it at home saved time at the entrance and on the first purchase.
Could you top up your Slesh balance on-site?
Yes. Top-up stations were spread throughout the venue and accepted card or cash. Loading credit at home in advance (from €10 to €150) was quicker, though, and meant you could enjoy the festival from the moment you walked in.
Was cash accepted inside the festival?
No — ATARASHI was a cashless event. All purchases at bars, food stands and merchandise points were processed via Slesh only. Cash was not accepted inside the venue, and ATM access was not guaranteed on-site.
What if I have leftover credit after the festival?
The window to request a refund of unspent credit closed on 17 August 2026 and refunds can no longer be requested in the app. For exceptional cases, write to festival@atarashi.fr.
What if your phone died or the app didn't work?
The advice given to the audience was to arrive with a fully charged phone and a power bank. The NFC wristband worked offline too, with no connection needed, and Slesh support staff were on-site to assist with any account issues — cashless was the only payment method available.
What if you lost or damaged your wristband?
Credit was linked to your account in the Slesh app, not just to the wristband, so it stayed safe. The info point and the cashless stations on site sorted it out.
Could you share your Slesh balance with friends?
No: each Slesh account was individual, and every attendee set up their own in advance.
Parking
Was there parking at the festival?
Yes. For the 2026 edition ATARASHI provided three official parking areas, all within walking distance of the festival entrance. Parking passes had to be bought in advance through Slesh. All official parking areas were monitored by professional security staff throughout the event.
Where were the official parking areas?
There were three official parking areas:
- Via Torre Bianca — closest parking (~3 min walk), Via Torre Bianca, 98164 Messina (ME). Important: vehicles had to enter and be parked before 17:00; access was not permitted after this time. Vehicle exit was available from 00:30 onwards.
- Via Pozzo Giudeo — official parking (~8 min walk), Via Pozzo Giudeo, 98164 Torre Faro (ME). No access restrictions.
- Via Circuito — official parking (~12 min walk), Via Circuito 171, 98164 Torre Faro (ME). No access restrictions.
Did the parking pass have to be bought in advance?
Yes. Parking passes were bought in advance through Slesh: spaces were limited and walk-up parking without a pass was not guaranteed.
Were the parking areas safe?
All three official ATARASHI parking areas were monitored by professional security staff throughout the entire duration of the event. The audience was asked to use only the designated official parking areas, and not to leave vehicles in unofficial or unmonitored locations.
What about arriving at Via Torre Bianca after 17:00?
Via Torre Bianca was the closest parking area to the venue but had a strict access cut-off at 17:00. Anyone arriving after that used Via Pozzo Giudeo or Via Circuito instead: both were clearly signposted and within comfortable walking distance.
When could you retrieve your car from Via Torre Bianca?
Vehicles parked at Via Torre Bianca could exit from 00:30 onwards.
Could you drop someone off at the venue without parking?
There was no dedicated drop-off zone at the venue: the official parking areas were used, then the entrance was reached on foot. Stopping or parking on the roadside near the venue was not allowed, and event staff moved vehicles on.
Getting there
How do I get to Torre Faro, Messina?
Torre Faro is located at the very tip of Sicily, approximately 14 km from Messina city centre. Your main options:
- By car — take the A18 motorway and exit at Messina Nord, then follow signs for Torre Faro / Capo Peloro. In 2026 three official parking areas were in operation.
- From Catania (nearest major airport, ~90 min) — take the A18 north towards Messina and exit at Messina Nord. Taxi and hire car services are available at Catania Fontanarossa Airport.
- From Palermo (~3 hours) — take the A19 towards Catania, then connect to the A18 north and exit at Messina Nord.
- From the mainland — ferries connect Villa San Giovanni (Reggio Calabria) to Messina; from Messina port, Torre Faro is approximately 20 minutes by car.

Yes. In 2026, navette (shuttle buses) operated by ATM Messina ran from Messina city centre to Torre Faro during the event. Timetables, stop locations and event-day service updates were published on the ATM Messina website (atmmessina.it); late-night return services had limited frequency.
Can I get there by taxi or rideshare?

Lockers are not available at ATARASHI Goes to Sicily. We recommend travelling light and keeping valuables secure at all times.

Medical assistance & safety

Alert the nearest ATARASHI staff member or security guard immediately. Do not leave the person alone. Our team will ensure the fastest possible response. What if I feel unwell during the event?
If you feel unwell, please find the nearest ATARASHI staff member or security guard immediately. The medical station is staffed throughout the entire event and equipped to handle everything from dehydration and heat-related illness to more serious conditions. August in Sicily can be very warm — stay hydrated, take breaks from dancing, and use the water points.
Is ATARASHI a safe event?
Safety is the absolute priority at ATARASHI. The event operates with professional security staff throughout the venue, a dedicated medical team, and a zero-tolerance policy towards violence and harassment. If you ever feel unsafe, approach any member of our staff immediately. ATARASHI is a space where everyone should feel welcome, respected and free to enjoy the music.

Weather & what to wear
What is the weather typically like in Sicily in August?
August in Sicily is warm, sunny and reliably dry. Average temperatures at Torre Faro in early August are between 26°C and 32°C during the day, dropping to a pleasant 24°C in the evening. You are very unlikely to encounter rain, but the Strait of Messina can occasionally produce a light sea breeze — which is a welcome relief on a warm August night.
What should I wear?
Light summer clothing is perfect. Comfortable shoes are essential — you'll be standing and dancing for several hours. We recommend:
- Lightweight, breathable clothing
- Comfortable footwear — leave the heels at the hotel
- A light layer for later in the evening
- Sunscreen if you're arriving before sunset
There is no dress code. Please note that bottles and reusable bottles are not permitted, even when empty: free water points are available throughout the venue.
What happens if it rains?
ATARASHI is a rain-or-shine event. In the unlikely event of extreme weather, we will communicate directly with all ticket holders via our official channels and WhatsApp community. In all other cases, the show goes on. We recommend checking the forecast before you leave home and bringing a lightweight waterproof layer just in case.
Is there shade available during the event?
Yes. Shaded areas are available within the festival site. Full details are visible on the festival map on our official Instagram @atarashi.festival.

I've lost something at the festival — what do I do?

How long are lost items kept?
Items not claimed by 1 September 2026 (30 days after the event) are donated to charity.
I lost my phone — what should I do?
Report your lost phone to the Lost & Found station as soon as possible. If your phone was found and handed in, it will be kept securely. After the event, contact festival@atarashi.fr. We recommend activating Find My iPhone or Google Find My Device before you arrive at the festival.
